So my friends Renaissance5 is but a mere 26 days away but sadly we fear you have spoken with your feet and, by not buying your tickets in advance, sent us a clear message . . . The Renaissance is over!!
We have put so much work into every single Renaissance event and we have left no stone unturned in ensuring that you gather with the Great & the Good folk in magical surroundings (Thanks to the visionary that is Cath Graham) and dance to our superb resident band The Collective who now have a killer set list and a new and magnificent frontman in Dave Badham. The DJ Set Lists are lovingly put to gether to ensure that all you hear all night are the most amazing dancefloor anthems from the golden age of music 1965 to 1995. Our designer Darren Coates has designed amazing slide shows and poster/ticket designs and Cancer Research UK have benefitted from every event.
Renaissance however was built upon a solid foundation of knowing who was coming and catering for those very people, our outgoings are vast because we care about quality but increased hall hire costs and security costs on top of the costs for our designers, soundman, band etc and for that reason we have relied on knowing in advance of each event that most of the tickets had been sold.
This time around however, after tickets already being on sale for 30 days we have sold but a mere 20 tickets!!!
We shall wait until Easter Monday before making a final decision but if ticket sales do not significantly improve we shall recognise that perhaps, for all of you lovely folkj, that the magic of Renaissance has gone.
We care passionately about Tenby and we believe whole-Heartedly that the entertainment landscape for anyone over 30 years of age is a barren wasteland and opportunities to dance and party to classic 70's and 80's tunes are, without Renaissance, digging in the dirt.
We hope we are posting this time next week to say that you have all come forward for your tickets because you want us to stick around but if not we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we wish you all well. It has been a blast!
As always . . . With Affection x
Bringing back the good times
